12th c. bronzes found in India, from Chola Empire.
Update
Two 12th century bronzes of Hindu deities have been discovered in southern India. They depict Nataraja and Sivakami Amman. The bronzes have been transported to Chennai for conservation.
Context
The bronzes are the first of their kind found in a scientific excavation. They were discovered in August and dated to the 12th century based on design style and craftsmanship.
